Norwegian National Day (17.mai)

Hi, everyone.
Last week we celebrated Norwegian National Day here in Adelaide. On the 17th of May we were invited to celebrate with some fellow Norwegians, and we had a big(!!) party at two friendly Norwegian's house (Frode and Mari). There were almost 15 Norwegians there, and sang Norwegian songs as if we were professionals. Had some proper Norwegian food (thanks for the excellent potato salad made with proper Norwegian mayonaise!). Heaps nice weather; almost twice the average temperature back home.
Went out at night to a bar full of Norgs, and I was actually a bit hungover the next day...
On Sunday we went to Mitcham Reserve, which is a park here in Adelaide. The Norwegian consular here has organized this celebration for the past (20-30?) years, and we had traditional pølse i brød and vafler. Later the Norwegian team defeated the other team in tug-o-war (tautrekking). We should have thrown rotten eggs at the Immigration Minister here, but she didn't show up...
...and we won the raffle; big bag of Norwegian foods!
Here are some pictures that capture some of the moments.
